Dear Neighbors,
It is with a heavy heart that I reach out to you today in light of the tragic news of Charlie Kirk’s assassination. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, loved ones, and all who were touched by his life and work.
Charlie was more than just a leader; he was a source of inspiration, courage, and conviction. His unwavering dedication to advancing the principles of freedom, faith, and opportunity left a lasting mark not only on our national dialogue but also on the hearts of those who had the privilege to know him personally.
We often draw strength from the voices that rise above the noise and remind us of the values we hold dear. Charlie was one of those voices. His passion was contagious, his love for our country undeniable, and his vision for the future one of hope, perseverance, and unity. Charlie not only brought discussion, but welcomed it, doing so with respect. He understood how important it was to engage in dialogue, and he risked his life for that very right. He made the ultimate sacrifice.
In moments of loss, we are reminded of the importance of God, and of standing together as a community, supporting one another, honoring the legacy of those who came before us, and carrying forward the mission they devoted their lives to. Let us take comfort in knowing that Charlie’s spirit and message will continue to inspire future generations, long after this tragedy.
On behalf of the North Haven Republican Town Committee, I extend our deepest condolences to Charlie’s family and to all who mourn his passing. May we remember him not in sorrow alone, but in gratitude for the light he brought into our world.
